Derrick Rowe avoided prosecution for corruption on the police force and is now stealing from the store he manages. He has robbed two banks and had a dye grenade explode on him, and his now working on a bigger heist. After Rowe bails his friend Jack Lofton from jail, they go to a bar where Lofton has been infatuated with a stripper. She agrees to join them for a drink after her shift. Lofton has been in an alcoholic free-fall since his wife left and is pleased to find himself in a new relationship, but there is soon trouble with her ex-lover and his posse. Rowe manages to enlist Lofton and a employee at his store to join him in a bank robbery. Robert O'Hara deals coke on the side, and has been dodging two disgruntled customers who have already beaten him with a lead pipe. This sets the stage for an armed bank robbery, a drive-by shooting, and further complications for O'Hara, which indirectly leads to a violent climax involving Rowe, the police, Lofton and some gangstas.
